LCD monitors at ESWC

The ESWC 2008 Grand Final is closing in. Today the organizing committee announced the computer specifications for the ESWC 2008 Grand Final tournaments.

Dedication to gamers must be the term to use when talking about the monitors ESWC pick for their tournaments. Any pro-gamer would prefer a CRT over a LCD/TFT any day. As most tournaments started to switch the old CRT model with the newer LCD/TFT monitors, the teams adapted to it, but were pleased whenever they got the opportunity to play on CRT monitors. More and more tournaments use the 22” 2ms model at their tournaments, ESWC will however have a 24” 6ms for the tournaments areas, while stage matches will be played on the 22” 2ms. With the calendar reading 2008, ESWC really should be able to find better monitors than a 6ms LCD. The 360 computers will be provided by ESWC Main and Worldwide partner NVIDIA, where Packard Bell has been supplying the latest event with their ixtreme series.
